| The company has been
in existence since 1988, formed originally by Noel McCann, and shortly after
partnered by Vic Feary, to offer an to offer originally a local service, then
later a countrywide service for the widening of mini excavators and manufacturing
specialist parts for agricultural equipment. Noel sadly departed from this
world in July 98 and will be missed by all his family and friends in Lemac.
The company has grown considerably, and we now have over 75 people employed
in the four Lemac plants. The UK side employs some 50+ people. We have over twenty-year’s experience in manufacturing, sales, and service in the construction industry both in the UK, Europe. The company is ISO 9001:2000 registered company; our certification number is 2036. Lemac Engineering has its own Manufacturing Plants in Scotland (Anne Idziak & Scott Russel) and Wales (Vic Feary) with a regional office in Manchester England (Martin Crilly). Our Group Business Manager (Pauline Middleton) is based in Wales. Lemac has its own premises, a 25,000 square foot factory, on an acre and a quarter site, some 40 miles from Edinburgh or Glasgow in Scotland. In Wales we havfe a 15,000 square foot premises some 12 miles from Cardiff. We also have a sister company in the U.S.A. Our main line production is the manufacture of Excavator, Backhoe, Mini & Loader buckets, from 1ton, to 100ton size of machine. Hydraulic and Manual Quick Hitch Systems for Excavators, Backhoes, Minis, and Loaders. Attachments, including 4 in 1 buckets, a range of Grapples, Concrete crushers, Tilting buckets, Specialist Rail Lifting and Placing tools, and Agricultural equipment. We carry a large stock of Ground Engaging and Wearpart Systems. We have our own service engineers and design department, with the latest CAD Systems, and can in conjunction with our customers offer a service to manufacture specialist attachments and buckets to their own design. Our customer base is mainly O.E.M.s and Dealers such as Case Intl, Komatsu Europe, Marubeni Komatsu, HM Plant (Hatachi importer) Finnings (Cat) Scot JCB, Liebherr, Euro (Daewoo) Ernest Doe (Hyundai) Terex UK (O&K & Hyundai, Atlas), Molson (Kobelco), CRMS, (Case), Savilles (Case) along with many others.
